Flood gates should be closed and equipment moved out of the low grounds along the river and tributaries. - At 12:15 PM CDT Friday the stage was 9.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet. - Recent Activity The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 12:15 PM CDT Friday was 9.0 feet. - Forecast The river is expected to rise to a crest of 9.1 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Monday afternoon. - Flood stage is 9.0 feet. - Flood History This crest compares to a previous crest of 9.1 feet on 07/23/2023.

Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Affected area: Southeastern San Patricio County in south central Texas. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. - At 113 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Portland, Gregory and Taft Southwest. Locations mentioned in the alert include: Portland, Gregory and Taft Southwest.

Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. Affected area: Portions of north central and northeast Iowa, including the following counties, in north central Iowa, Butler, Cerro Gordo and Worth. In northeast Iowa, Black Hawk and Bremer. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. - Training storms and heavy rainfall may lead to an increased potential for flash flooding. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches is expected, with locally higher amounts possible.
